Who We Are
The United States Tennis Association, Northern California Section (USTA NorCal), based in Alameda, California, is a not-for-profit volunteer-based organization promoting and growing the game of tennis across Northern California and Northwest Nevada since 1953.
As one of 17 geographic sections of the governing body of tennis in the United States, USTA NorCal is deeply rooted in its commitment to building an active and engaged tennis community. USTA NorCal engages audiences across the whole community and brings tennis to a diverse set of players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. From grassroots tennis in the parks, organized leagues, and tournaments to tennis scholarships, grants, and education resources, this team champions tennis throughout Northern California.

The Role
Location Requirement:
The applicant must reside in one of the following counties and will be responsible for covering and traveling this designated territory: Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties.
Job Summary:
Implement community initiatives to expand access to tennis and increase awareness across the Section. Establish outreach efforts aligned with Section goals and priorities, while building and nurturing strong relationships within the community.
NorCal Community initiatives include: Development and partnerships with Community Tennis Associations (CTAs), Collaboration with Parks & Recreation Departments, National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL), Schools, HITS (after-school), Tennis on Campus (TOC), Adaptive and Wheelchair tennis, Adult Social Play, Town Halls.

This is a full-time job (M-F 8am-5pm with occasional weekend work for events) and the expected non-exempt compensation for this position is $33.65 – $40.87 per hour depending on experience and reports to the Sr. Manager, Community Programs. *This is a remote position with travel required, as listed above.
This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant’s qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, and unique skills.
